So long as CA asks the developer and credits and pays them their share accordingly, I don't see it as an issue, and I doubt they would not jump at the chance to have their work officially recognised. Of course they would probably need a bit of time to iron out any instability issues in the mod before uploading, but that's to be expected.Īnd no, I don't think it's a bad thing to use a mod as an expansion. It basically covers the ACW by itself and if CA were to ask to use the mod the expansion I'm sure would be released in no time. For example, Darthmod has done wonders for the game and the AI, or the American Civil War Brothers vs Brothers mod. The best part is that they don't even need to do a lot of work as they could ask the mod developers if they could use their mods as expansions or just improve the game overall. Or section off most of Northern Europe for a Great Northern War campaign instead.Īs to India, the Indian Mutiny springs to mind, though im sure there are better wars that could be simulated for the 18th or 19th Century. Or they could section off most of Europe and add a few extra provinces to make a Seven Years War campaign where you have a certain time limit to achieve your objectives, which would be unique to each nation (as Prussia, the objective would be to make sure that you hold all of your starting territory by the end of the war, for example). However, I think CA could come back to it and fix it's problems (they've had many years to understand and work the Engine since it was first implemented in Empire, so I'm sure they could improve the bad AI and permanently fix the Ottoman Bug), but also add some new content to it.įor example, with a few tweaks to the map, the Warpath campaign could be used for a DLC mini campaign for the American Civil War. That being said, I have been playing it with at least 1 mod and 1 submod to make it a much better experience, but overall I still love the game. I've been playing a lot of Empire lately and I've really fallen back in love with the game. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.847 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai. ![]()
